Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy explains what Thailand PM2.5 Checker processes when you visit, in line with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) of Thailand.
What is processed
- Hosting logs: Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and keep the service secure and within its limits. This is based on our legitimate interest (Section 24 (5)).
- Your location: if you press "Use my location", your browser asks your permission first. If you allow it, your browser compares the position with the district list on your own device to open the nearest district. The position is not sent to the site, not stored and not logged. If you do not press the button, the site never asks.
- Google Maps links: the station and directions links open Google Maps with the station's coordinates, only when you follow the link. Google's privacy policy applies from that point.
The site has no accounts, no forms, no comments and no advertising, and it does not collect sensitive personal data. It is not aimed at children.
Cookies and data kept on your device
The site itself sets no cookies for analytics or marketing and has no visitor counter. The hosting provider may set cookies that are needed to keep the service secure.
To work offline, the site registers a service worker that keeps copies of pages you have opened, recent air quality data and static files in your browser's cache. This stays on your device. You can remove it by clearing site data in your browser or uninstalling the app.
Recipients and transfers abroad
Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) hosts the site and its database. Data may be processed outside Thailand under Cloudflare's data processing terms. We do not sell personal data or pass it to others except as stated here or where the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Act you may:
- ask to access and receive a copy of your data
- ask to correct, erase or restrict the use of your data
- ask to receive or transfer your data in a machine-readable form
- object to the collection, use or disclosure of your data
- withdraw consent you have given
- complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee
The site does not keep your IP address or any record that identifies you, so in practice there is no data of yours for us to look up. Hosting logs are held by Cloudflare under its own policy.
